liberty mutual insurance advertises on tv that it believes in doing the right thing, but that is not what it does. i have a home owners policy with liberty mutual.. have for over 4 years. always happy to take my money when it came time to pay the premium. in april of this year in western oklahoma we had a very bad wind storm, in this storm my garden shed and storm (french) doors were damaged beyond repair. walls blown out and roof almost blow off in the garden shed. storm doors, one was sucked open and slammed back against the house the other one was just sucked open breaking lock and striker and breaking the braces that hold the glass/screen in place none on which can be repaired, so needs to be replaced i have bide/estimates for what it will cost to replace shed and doors(both) may even have to replace one of the inside doors as it also was damaged and might not be able to be repaired............ liberty mutual lies and the agents lie right along with them i was told by my agent (terry
hamby) that my policy is full replacement cost with no depreciation, it is the Cadillac of policies so she said. the bids totaled over $8k for replacing shed, doors, and electric to shed. i have every thing verified insurance sent out adjuster gave him the information liberty mutual sent me a check for $4100.00 not even half of what it will cost to replace. i will not accept this check and will probably start litigation.. this sucks big time i work hard for my money and to pay my bills i pay for the privilege of having insurance and i demand that they treat me with the same amount of respect that they had when taking my money for the premiums....this constitutes fraud they take money but do not perform the service being paid for 35b4086
